General Operating Instructions
1. Squeeze the Trigger to activate the Shear.
Release Trigger to turn off Shear.
2. For continuous operation, press the Trigger Lock
on the side of the handle. The Trigger Lock
will deactivate once the Trigger is released.
3. If Shear become jammed during cutting, release
Trigger and unplug tool immediately.
4. Use the Belt Tab to hang the Shear from the workbelt.
5. To prevent accidents, turn off the tool and
disconnect its power supply after use. Clean, then
store the tool indoors out of children’s reach.
Maintenance and Servicing
Procedures not specifically explained
in this manual must be performed
only by a qualified technician.
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM
ACCIDENTAL OPERATION:
Turn the Power Switch of the tool off and unplug the
tool from its electrical outlet before performing any
inspection, maintenance, or cleaning procedures.
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM TOOL FAILURE:
Do not use damaged equipment. If abnormal
noise or vibration occurs, have the problem
corrected before further use.
Blade Maintenance
1. Unplug the tool.
2. Using the Hex Tool, remove the three Head Bolts.

Bushing
The three Blades and the two Bushings will be loose.
4. Clean, replace or sharpen the blades as
required. Replace blades as a set only.
5. Reassemble by repositioning the Blades,
and Bushings as illustrated. Replace the
Head Bolts and tighten them securely.
6. Test the product to be sure that it is working properly.
7. The Left and Right Blades are slotted. They
can be adjusted to change the direction of
the curl of waste material. To adjust:
a. Unplug the tool.
b. Loosen all three Head Bolts.
c. Make a slight adjustment to the Left
or Right Blade as needed.
d. Tighten the Head Bolts.
e. Test the direction of the waste curl and
repeat the steps above as needed.
Note: If the Head Bolts are overtightened, then the Center
Blade will not move freely enough, causing premature
wear, or possibly preventing the tool from operating.
If the Head Bolts are not tight enough, the tool
will not make a smooth cut in the material
Cleaning, Maintenance,
and Lubrication
1. BEFORE EACH USE, inspect the general condition
of the tool. Check for loose hardware, misalignment
or binding of moving parts, cracked or broken
parts, damaged electrical wiring, and any other
condition that may affect its safe operation.
2. AFTER USE, wipe external surfaces
of the tool with clean cloth.
3. Use dry, compressed air to clean out
the vents on the motor housing.
4. CAUTION! Do not use cleaning agents to
clean the softer parts of the tool. Use only
a mild detergent or a damp cloth. Do not
let water come into contact with tool.
5.
WARNING! If the supply cord of this
power tool is damaged, it must be replaced
only by a qualified service technician.
